Sexy but not Slutty, Motorcycle Shirts

Thanks to my friend Moto Lady, I found Bryan's shop on Etsy where he's whipping out cool vintage car and motorcycle shirts for men and women! It's so refreshing to see cool tees that aren't pink, half cropped, tight as hell and too skimpy to wear without looking desperate.

I love what Bryan is doing and am hoping to partner with him to push out some killer GearChic tees. Stay tuned and in the meantime, check out what else he has going on in his shop. If you're a classic car fan, you'll love some of the tributes to Dodge, Nissan, BMW and more.

Motorcycle Gift Idea, Cool Moto Tees

 

I was down in Southern California recently and visited a new shop in downtown Ventura called the Iron and Resin Garage. I have to admit, it was like walking into a hipster motorcycle shop. 

But they did have some cool men's and women's tees so naturally I had to take one home (above right). Unfortunately their website  doesn't have any of the women's tops listed. Hopefully they'll add those to the site soon. This was the only women's moto top that I really liked, riding a moto myself. 

Of course, they have a ton of nifty men's tees for that moto man in your life.

New REV'IT Women's Motorcycle or Scooter Jackets

One thing that many women riding motorcycles and scooters struggle with is finding riding gear that's stylish and safe. 

Gracia Ladies Jacket

Well, REV'IT has decided to throw their hat in the ring with 2 new jackets for Fall (with a couple more coming in the Winter, so stay tuned :D). The Gracia is a wax cotton, 3/4 length, waterproof jacket with a vintage look and feel. Offered in black and brown, this little number features a removable thermal liner and Knox lite armor in the shoulders and elbows. There's also a pocket for an optional back protector, which will fit Knox or TPro shaped armor. 

 

Taksim Ladies Jacket

The second option is the Taksim, offered in black and olive:

The Taksim is also waterproof, with a removable thermal liner and Knox lite armor in the shoulders and elbows. It has a pocket for an optional back protector. Don't worry, the (fake) fur hood is removable. 

Both of these are priced at $300 and are great options for riding around town on your scooter or motorcycle. I wouldn't recommend them for highway riding or touring/distance rides but definitely kickass alternatives for that short commute across town to work. 

I'm super excited to see these hit the floor at Scuderia soon (most likely October) and will post once I have some real people trying them on (myself included). 

New Jackets from Roland Sands Design

If you've been looking for a real women's leather motorcycle jacket with a true vintage look and feel (and armor pockets) look no more. RSD has not one, but two jackets for women coming out soon. 

The Maven

We've been carrying the men's version of this jacket (the Ronin) at Scuderia for awhile now and they're absolutely gorgeous. I think it's one of the best casual style leather jackets I've seen. The details are beautiful and they have such a clean, sexy vintage look.  (Pictured above from their Instagram account)

The initial color offerings will be black and tobacco, and possibly a deep red or deep cream (Oooohhh). They're still figuring things out, but the color options sound fantastic. If the Maven is anything like the men's Ronin, it'll feel light and super comfortable. The leather on the Ronin is only 1.1mm so I'd highly recommend this as an option for local riding only, not long distance commuting or touring. 

There are no removable liners and it's definitely not waterproof. They also feature armor pockets, ready to accept armor in the shoulders, elbows and back. (Thank you RSD!) I cannot wait to see this one in person! 

One really nice touch that you can't see is the rich silk lining. It's a pretty gold color. 

The Maven is due out in October / early November. 

The Vada

The Vada is a wax cotton version of the Maven. The men's version is the Tracker. The Vada will also offer pockets for armor in the shoulders, elbows and back. There are no removable liners and it's definitely not waterproof.

If the Vada is at all like the Tracker, it's also going to have a beautiful silk lining to give it that really rich, luxurious look and feel. I love wax cotton jackets. Something about the feel is so classic, motorcycle sexy. 

I'd also recommend this only as an option for local riding only, not long distance commuting or touring, due to the nature of the wax cotton. Although I certainly haven't crashed in one, nor have I seen anyone but if you have, please let me know how it holds up. I'd be curious to see...
